Monika Raj

Dr. Monika Raj is an Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Emory University and a member of the Winship Cancer Institute. She earned her PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania and New York University. Before joining Emory in 2020, she held faculty positions at Seton Hall and Auburn University. Her research develops innovative chemical probes and bioconjugation strategies to study the “undruggable” proteome, map post-translational modifications, and enable single-molecule protein sequencing. She has received multiple honors, including appointment to the Editorial Board of SYNLETT and recognition as a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and Sloan fellow.
